We are seeking an enthusiastic, driven, and customer-focused Hotel Sales & Events Executive to join our team at Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso.
In this role, you will be responsible for generating and converting sales opportunities for group bookings, conferences, meetings, and special events. You will also coordinate events from the initial enquiry through to successful execution, ensuring that all client requirements and expectations are met to the highest standards.
Working closely with the Sales, Events, Operations, Catering, and other relevant departments, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service, maximizing revenue opportunities, and contributing to the overall success of the hotel.
Manage and convert leads for group bookings, conferences, meetings, weddings, and other special events.
Respond promptly and professionally to client enquiries, preparing proposals, quotations, and tailored offers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their expectations are met and exceeded.
Coordinate and assist with the planning and successful execution of events, including conferences, weddings, corporate meetings, and social functions.
Conduct site inspections and hotel show rounds for prospective clients when required.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and services in line with hotel policies, revenue objectives, and client requirements.
Work closely with the Operations, Catering, and other relevant departments to ensure the smooth and successful delivery of each event.
Prepare and communicate detailed event requirements and function information to all relevant departments.
Follow up with clients after events to ensure their satisfaction, gather feedback, and build long-term business relationships.
Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling hotel services and facilities.
Monitor and track booking trends and sales performance, working closely with the Sales team to achieve revenue and business targets.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of bookings, sales activities, contracts, and client interactions in the hotel's relevant systems.
Utilize hotel management systems, including Protel and RMS, effectively in the daily management of bookings and client information.
Assist with sales, marketing, and promotional activities aimed at attracting new clients and retaining existing business.
Provide exceptional customer service and efficiently resolve any issues or concerns that may arise throughout the booking process or during the event.
Stay informed about local market developments, competitor activity, and industry trends.
Very good verbal and written communication skills in both Greek and English.
Proven experience in hotel sales, event management, or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
Strong sales, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Excellent organizational, coordination, and time-management abilities, with strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively and work well under pressure while meeting deadlines.
Familiarity with hotel management software, particularly Protel PMS, will be considered an advantage.
A proactive, results-oriented, and customer-focused attitude.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative.
Knowledge of the local market and industry trends will be considered an advantage.
A bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Business Administration, Event Management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
